Hey guys and gals! I'm a newbie to the forums but have known about this site since I was a student pilot, does anybody have any experience with flying at ATP flight schools (mainly any ATP centers in Florida) any input good or bad would be greatly appreciated. I'm a commercial pilot with ASEL, I'm looking at flight schools or FBO's where I can finish up my flight training and get on with my career
.I live in Iowa but am willing to move basically anywhere. I'm looking for places with best reputation and best price for what you pay and the sooner I hear back about what flight schools and where, the better. I've experienced two different flight schools, I got my private at Spartan College of Aeronautics and my instrument rating at a community college here in Iowa and finally my commercial via part 61 flight training at Waterloo Regional airport. My Spartan experience was ok, and my community college experience was a nightmare however part 61 was a blessing and a great experience. In doing so with all my flight training as you can imagine I have accumulated a lot of student loans like many pilots. So I'm looking for a school that has professional flight instructors and DPE's that have respect for their students and want to see them succeed. Any help on this will help me go a long ways, thanks much!

I went to ATP in Fort Lauderdale and had a great experience. You deffinetly hit the ground running but that's the way they work. The location was great at FXE, good instructors and staff. All the training and check rides were done in new aircraft. My crm time build was done in older aircraft but I had no real major problems other than some system failures. The training really helps prepare you for emergency situations and the "real" world. Best of luck!
