Does anybody have any hiring information or rumors about hiring at UPS? Upcoming classes, how long people have been in the pool, etc...?

Thanks!

Just interviewed last week. They said a class a month at least until the end of the year. No idea how many are in the pool. All new hires can expect ANC in the MD11.

UPS won't be hiring in 2008 either. They start parking their 747-100 & 200 series aircraft and their 727 series aircraft and have to internally absorb and re-train all these crews before they can kick off hiring again. FedEx is in the same boat. They won't be hiring for the next 18-24 months due to the same reason.

A friend who is a UPS 727 FO soon to be a 757/767 FO (due to UPS parking the 727) informed me UPS will probably only hire 50 pilots in 2008 due to the fact the company is parking all their 747-100/200 series aircraft and 727 series aircraft. Until they internally absorb and retrain all these crews on other aircraft (747-400 and 757/767) the hiring picture is looking bleak for 2008. His exact words to me as relayed to him by UPS HR. Kudos to you for getting the interview invite in 2007. I have been informed by the same friend if UPS does not call you for an interview before the end of 2007 they will purge their data base of applications and when they open up the application process up again in 2008 all will have to re-apply.
