I was curious about the route structure from KDSM to the UPS or FedEx domiceles. If employeed by either one of these great cargo companies how hard would it be to comute from Des Moines IA to the domiciles? Would someone with knowledge of either one of these route structures enlighten me. Also is it possible to bid trips starting, ending, or overnighting in Des Moines if employeed by either box haulers. I know UPS is active in KDSM but I am not sure as to the extent of FedEx's operations out of IA. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I know several people in my Guard unit that fly for them outta DSM. It obviously depends out of the shoot where they base you. Memphis is fairly easy to get to if you work for FDX. One of my buddies got hired into the MD-11 at ANC and has to go through MEM to get there on FDX. The UPS guy says Louisville is not that bad outta DSM. Either company would be great. Email me if you want to get in touch with these guys. What phase are you in as far as the hiring process? Chad hawkeyeflt@aol.com

You can check UPS jumpseats here:

Should be several options out of DSM.
