Aviation Questions (New to aviation)

Hello aviators!
I have not yet started my flight training yet, not until I retire from the Army. So, I am a little clueless about some aviation things. Please excuse me. I am trying tolearn as much as I can before I start my training.
I have a couple questions for seasoned pilots, since I am new to this industry:
1. Are all the panels and controls, especially the navigation area between the pilots difficult to learn?
Does it take alot of time to learn or just second nature after you finish your training on them?
2. Does the FO in a plane actually fly the plane sometimes or just handle radio, navigation etc like that?
3. Do cessna airplanes ever land in JFK? I have an ATC site for JFK and always listen to it but never hear cessnas trying to land there.
Thank you.

1. For the most part experience is everything in aviation; with that said from my instructing experience some people get it some don't. I have found people with good motor skill tend to master the flying quicker.
2. It depends on the situation/crew. I was fortunate most of the guys I flew with switched seats with me. Some PIC will barley let the FO work the radios; however, CRM has proved that to be bad procedure.
3. Not likely, I am not from the NE but IAH is pretty airline heavy. The only chance you have doing touch and goes there would be late at night.
