So Flight Options is supposed to be some great fractional company?? They start their FO's at 33k when NetJets starts at 58K why would you want to work for options?

They have been negotiating a contract with the pilots for 2 years on a contract because the pilots what a pay increase. The 2nd year pay is a $300 raise from the first year. I also hear they have a problem with pilots calling in fatigued. That should tell the management something, shouldnt it?

Now since it has been 2 years negotiating a contract with the pilots the company is now threatening downsizing and layoffs. I understand this is a normal tactic when negotiating however I guess they cant figure out why the pilots wanted a union in the first place.

I just wanted to put some stuff out there to spark some conversation!

So I guess there is a shake up going on right now. Rumor has it that Ken Ricky ( he originally started flight options) has bought back into the company to save it. So now all the middle managers are running around with their heads chopped off worring about their jobs.

Oh...about Ken Ricky... He is a great guy and a great manager. If this is true and he takes it back over, he will make it a great place to work like it once was.

Now the pilots are very unhappy as well. Did you know that when one of their pilots is done for the day and is given a start time for the next morning. The company can call them at 3am and change their start time. So if you think you are starting at 11am they can call you in the middle of the night and tell you that you are starting at 8am. As long as you get 10 hours of rest. Which to me 10 hours is plenty comming from an airline.

So keep an eye on Options..things may get a little interesting.

Ok so as of May 16, 2008...the employees of Flight Options received a letter saying that "each position is being looked at ." Is what they really mean is that anyone could be LAYED OFF. It is typical of Flight Options to talk around what is happening. All they have to say is that the company is having a tough time in this economy and there may be layoffs. But nope.

All the employees want at Flight Options is the boses to be honest and straight to the point. Not this afraid to say what they really mean crap! The managers and people who are running this place suck terribly. If you have a chance to work at a different company...go....run like the wind away from this company that is FUBAR!

Fly safe
