I see that all airlines are on a freeze or really slowed their hiring pilots.

I got a class date with compass airline and when I was talking to some of the guys the told I will need to buy a flight case for training. My question is, Do I really need to buy a flight case for training is it required or can I just use the flight bag I've used for all my training in the GA world?

If I do need one can anyone suggest what is a good flight case that won't break on me after a few months? I also want to keep it below 200 if possible. when I searched i saw Korchmar, Scott, PNT, Cayoteworks, Aerocoast, and luggage works.

has anyone used either the Purdyneat or the Aerocoast.com flight case?

Any recommendation on which one to get?

Thanks

Well first Congrats that's true hard to get a job these days.

You will need a Flight Case any how. So if you don't want to spend 350 for a scott bag then i would go for the aerocoast flight case. I was in Houston at the stopoverstore shopping for a new flight case.

after looking at the all the bags they had on display...I saw for the price and quality of bag you get the aerocoast bags are definitely the one to get.

I bought it at the stopoverstore but if you haven't bought one yet checkout the aerocoast site.
They have a better deal if you buy directly from them, they will give you a LED light and Free UPS shipping Plus you save on the tax that I paid in the store.

Best of luck in training.

Pilots that are looking to get a new flight case from AEROCOAST.COM can use the promotion code: "ACPROX8" $10 off next to your airline name in the checkout. You will get a credit of $10 credited to your credit card.

Actually guys it's not a sales method... you guys misunderstood the meaning of FAA legal flight case.

You are absolutely correct you don't need any special type of flight case for it to be legal you can take a lunch box with your charts and no one will say anything.

I stated that they will give you a free flashlight with you flight case. What I meant by FAA Leagal flight case was that when you go to training you have to have a flight kit before going to the simulators and that means having all of your charts and books a Flashlight and other things your airline requires.

When I did my training they told me I have to have a flashlight in my flight case for it to be complete and that is all I was trying to tell you guys.

Go ahead and buy any case you need.

Thanks for looking.
