Does anyone know the upgrade time for Mesaba? Any valuable information about the airline as one to work for would be great as well. Thank you.

3 yr. seat lock. Meaning you stay in the plane for 3 yrs. SAAB 340 you can upgrade relatively quick 2 yrs. probably. If you get the RJ you will be stuck right seat for 3 yrs. and then you upgrade to captain in the SAAB You cannot upgrade to captain in the RJ without being a captain in the SAAB first. I was just at an interview a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for the info. Did you take the job? Do you have any other details about Mesaba? I'm trying to decide if I should make a lateral move to another regional. The one I work for now is in bad shape, but quick upgrades....

The info that guy gave you is either purposefully wrong, or he has some condition which makes him say the exact opposite of what he means

Get hired here and we'll place you in one airplane or the other. you have no choice. there is NO SEATLOCK on first officers. not even a training contract. This guy is a moron for saying that.
When you upgrade, which is about 1 year right now if you take the first available, it is based on senority and having the ATP, that is it.
You upgrade in whatever equipment you want IF you hold senority. You don't have to fly the saab first before you fly the damn barbie jet.
When you upgrade there is a 2 year seatlock. Those can be dropped.

Get off this forum and goto Jetcareers or airlinepilotforums. You are getting completely wrong info here

Dude, you need to chill. What's your problem...I only repeated what they said at the interview, and when I looked around you were not there so you probably don't know exactly what they told us. Whether it be right or wrong just say your opinion and don't act like such a jerk. You probably are a real pain to fly with if you get that emotional so quickly.

I'll cry myself to sleep later cause I'm pretty emotional.

Say my opinion? I already did, you must have misread my post as you misheard everything in the interview.

No. I know your opinion. I said to just say your opinion without being such a jerk. It's ok to disagree with somebody and still show a little etiquette.

yup, preaty much a major a$$hole. i sure would hate to fly with this guy. apparently the people that are on these forums are complete idots, and those who are on jetcareers/airlinepilotcentral are god sents. if i flew with this guy i'd have to quit, or kill myself, or both. if he does work for MESABA, i would definatly not want to work for them if thats how they treat their people. no matter anyways, Mesaba sucks. one of the lowest per-deims, Saabs (eeewwwwwww!) and "barbie jets" as he calls them. if his moral has anything to do with that of the company, i would definatly steer clear laugh.gif ooohhhhhhh SNAP!
