Hi All,
Anyone know about corporate jobs in the SW (Im in ABQ)? Im starting out flying professionally, hoping to get into a King Air or a small jet... am I nuts right now?
Maybe a medical outfit? Ive applied to a few places, but not even a reply.
(Im at 2000 hrs, ATP, 700 multi) No jet time which is KILLING ME! But I own a BE-58P, so my multi is good high alt. pressurized time.
Thanks for any help,
Bill

Bill, don't limit yourself to staying in the ABQ area for a flying job ................. most of us had to leave town to get the jobs we needed to advance in our careers ! Your time and experience is marketable but you have to be looking "on the other side of the fence" in order to land a good job for yourself. It is all stepping stones to the better jobs ! Don't stay in any one job for too long, get your experience, work hard for them, then leave for greener pastures. I am from the SouthWest myself and I would have liked to been able to stay there for a flying career but it does not work that way all the time. Depends on what you expect and where you are willing to go ! Make those all important CONTACTS and NETWORK feverishly, it will pay off. People that KNOW YOU and LIKE YOU will HIRE YOU !!!
GOOD LUCK, GRASSHOPPER !!!

Hi Bill,
At this point I would suggest getting your resume reviewed to make sure it is clear and correct. Remember it is the only thing the company knows about you when you apply. It is your first impression that they will evaluate and determine if they want to call you for an interview.

Did you ever consider bush flying in Africa?
There are some countries like Botswana and Namibia, where a low houred pilot (2-300 TT) can get a flying job and quickly boost the logbook to 1000 hours. There is a guide to everything you always wanted to know about scoring that first pilot job in Namibia or Maun, Botswana. The tips and tricks of scoring that first job in the African bush. There is a Cessna 206 or a Cessna 210 waiting for you as well. Look for the Low Time Pilots Guide to African Bush Flying (http://maunpilot.blogspot.com/2012/02/low-time-pilots-guide-to-african-bush.html)
