Hi, I'm a F/O for GoJet. I can't speak for what you can expect with Cape Air but here's a little bit about GoJet.
I've been working here since May 08. It's a great place to work and the people are pretty cool too. We're a small airline but we are growing. We have a single fleet of 17 CRJ-700's and we are scheduled to receive 2 more aircraft within the next month with a total of 8 this year.
We are one of the few Regionals that are still hiring. We fly as United Express. Upgrade time is at about 2500 hours. I hope this helps!

I went to a job fair. but i can say this, be persistent, i think the HR people just gave me an interview cause i kept calling and asking for one. also i think they liked that i was already close to being qualified for a captain position.
good luck

ok great, thanks for the input, that helps cause i've heard the good the bad and the ugly about gojet from all sorts of people. The only people that i haven't asked are the gojet pilots themselves. I have heard bad things about commuting. Do you commute or know someone that does?

I would interview at both airlines and if you get offered a position at both then you will have a decision to make. The interviews might just make that decision for you.
CapeAir:
C-402 based in MA you will get in a lot of flying and a lot of single pilot IFR. Training done in airplanes and maybe a n old 402 sim. Fog rolls in quick around Nantucket and the islands and it will sharpen your instrument skills. The flying will be all multi PIC. You will also fly into BOS and fly a high speed ILS so you don't hold everybody up. I am sure they cut back on flights come winter so you might end up layed off or have to go south.
You will make more money flying for cape air and the cape is beautiful in the spring, summer and fall.
GoJet:
CRJ700 based in St. Louis or maybe Dulles? Totally different flying. Intense training with full motion sim. Wicked nice airplane and avionics. Obviously all your flying is SIC Jet. 3 or 4 day trips maybe.
Less money. Most like major airline ops. Pretty quick upgrade time though from what I here.
Hard decision. I guess you might ask yourself where you want to go and which of these two are going to get you there. Maybe someone who hires pilots for a major could chime in?
