Hi. I used to fly for a foriegn airlines until I had to move here in the US and give up everything I have. I have 2800H, 2600H+ ME time, a A319/320 rating with 420H on the type.
I would like to ask your opinion on what is the better approach to getting a regional job here in the US.
1. Find a simulator company and get my ATP FAA attached is my A320 rating (expensive)? or
2. Just get my ATP FAA with just a Piper Seminole so I can apply right away after my check ride? (inexpensive)
Just confused right now on what would be the better step towards landing a regional job then hopefully majors in the future.
Thanks alot and god bless.

Dogwood,
My advice is to go with the cheaper Piper Seminole idea. Most applicants for the regional only have a commercial rating and get the ATP when they upgrade. You will be ahead of the pack with the ATP and you will have Jet time and glass cockpit time. Save your money since you will need to live off your savings the first few years of the regionals once you get hired.
Good luck and let us know how things work out.
