Dear Everyone,
Hello, I am a 28 years old Japanese pilot.
I would like to hear any opinions to advance my pilot career from pilots from a variety kinds of Aviation fields.
I have been aiming to become a B747 captain, and operate international flight since I was a small kid.
I obtained FAA ATP in last June, and I have about 2570 hours total flight time and 520 hours in multi-engine, but I don't have any type ratings.
I have 2 hours in B747-400 and approximately 10 hours in full motion simulator when I was interning at major airline in the US.
Most of my flight time is as a flight instructor, and corporate flight with piston twin.
Since I obtained ATP, I contacted with many airlines and aviation companies for pilot opportunity, but I don't have any good answer from them.
I visited many pilot career web sites, but all job opportunity is for experieced pilots, so as other pilot job web sites.
Since I am Japanese citizen and I don't have Green Card, I can't work in the US, and I can't fly in Japan because FAA pilot certificate is not vsalid in Japan.
Airlines are looking for experienced pilots for immideate work forces, and flight schools are not hiring instructors due to down economy or hiring low time pilots to save operating costs.
I have no idea what should I do to advance my pilot career.
Which market have my career possibility and which market should I focus on?
If adding some qualifications will make me more competitive in pilot job market, what are they? Where can I take those trainings?
Is there any airlines who are willing to accept pilots who have type rating but no turbine time?
Can you arrange time building program with airlines for low turbine type rated pilots?
I attached my resume for qualification reference.
Please give me some frank opinion and advice to make my dream come true.
Thak you very much for your time and kind considerations, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
