Hello, I was wondering what the yearly total flight time limitations (Instruction time) are for CFI's. I'm not a CFI yet nor do I have any ratings, next year I be will attending Western Michigan University and will major in Flight science, getting all my ratings while earning a B.A. in Flight science. I'm going to be applying to Air Canada and their total flight time minimum is 1,000 hours. I would like to apply with at least 2,750 and I'm guessing you can't fly(instruct) more than 100 hours per month which comes out to about 1,200 hours a year, and I really don't want to be stuck in the middle of no where
for longer than a year to a year and a half after graduation. So what are some alternatives to increasing FT?
Thanks
Thanks

There are no specific part 91 limitations for how much time you can instruct in a year, but take it from experience. Having given over 1,000 hours of dual in recent years, you will not want to be in the airplane that much. It is possible, but much more than that would not be advisable.
