Hi, newbie here.
in late 2008 i left my 121 job for a corporate gig getting turbine PIC time. The company i was to fly for sold some of their equipment just after i was hired - specifically the type i was hired into. The current crews were moved around to meet their current staffing therby rendering me and a couple of other guys obsolete within 3 days of my training date. My resignation from the previous job had literally went effective a few days before!
Standing there jobless and understandably PO'd I scrambled into working whatever flying i could get and eventually settled into a chief flight instructor position at a mid sized flight school. Though it was mostly administrative, it has equated to about 500-600 hours of flying over the past 24 months and I have been thinking about getting back into regional flying a lot lately.
Colgan air has my interest... i had heard through the grapevine that they were in need of pilots but this was a while back. additionally i am SF340 typed and i know they operate a fair number of them.
Anyone have any recent info on colgan?
seat locks? equipment? upgrade time? hiring outlook etc?
thanks guys, any info would be very helpful.
