I've got a question pertaining to a felony that's over 10 years old. It was in the prior state I lived in and I've been able to go into and exit Canada on a regualar basis. I've also been Cleared for a Haz-mat Endorsement. My understanding is the Airlines only go back 10 years. It was treated under the "First offender act" which basically implies like it never ever happend.
My main concern is spending all the time and money to get my training and not being able to get on with a regional airline. Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark,
I am sorry for the late response but I wanted to take some time to talk to a few hiring managers in the industry before responding. They all said the same thing. A felony is quite serious even if it was 10 years ago. The consensus was to disclose the felony even if it was more than 10 years ago. One hiring manager said they tend to find thing they don't expect and even though they only go back 10 years. She said it could be grounds for termination if it wasn't disclosed during the hiring process. Without knowing more about the circumstances of your actually felony this is the best information I can provide you. Best of luck.
