Schedules vary quite a bit. Max 7 day trips unless you volunteer for more. 11 days off per month. 9 of them are guaranteed. You can sell days off at the rate of $200 per day. Lots of international flying at the moment. Currently under contract negotiations and management has indicated significant pay raises. Interesting flying and overall a great bunch of pilots!

Any specifics about signing the contract with MAI?
How many hours can one fly per month?Do you break 70hr guarantee?
Any jumpseating option with other airlines (although living in MIA)?

Are you asking about the training contract or pilot contract? Pilot contract far from being signed (at least 6 months.) Don't know much about training contract.

Hours vary, but most pilots can fly well over 70 if they want to.

Some jumpseat agreements and growing almost every day, but they are hard to get due to difficulties in reciprocating.

Someone i know got hired over there last year and didn't make it through training. Apparently nor his classmates none of them. I don't know the details but should be something to consider.

Miaboeingcaptain,

If I can ask, what regional airlines did you fly for and get your experience before moving on and being able to fly B727's? I am still deciding where to apply after my flight training. I retire from the U.S. Army soon.
What is your advice for a new person to the industry?
