The FAA has released their new flight and duty time rules to the public. You can download the new rules from the FAA here: New FAA Flight and Duty Ruiles

So I didn't read the entire 314 pages of the rules, but I did read the important stuff that will actually show up in the regs at the end. As I read though I was very excited to see these changes, but I'm not sure my airline will be covered. I fly for Great Lakes (a small regional with 19 and 30 pax turbo prop aircraft) I'm a little confused because at the end it had several statements that seamed to exempt carriers with less than 30 seat operations. This would be an outrage. We are the exact people that need these new regs. We're flying 8 leg days 7.9 hrs a day and 14hr duty days then given 8hrs rest and expected to do it all again the next day. I sure hope we are going to be governed by these new regs. Dose anyone know???

I am pretty sure these new rules are applicable to all 121 passenger carriers.
