I agree you want to try and get as much specialty time we call it as possible. Something that separates you from the pack. I wouldn't waste your time with LSA. Instead I would focus on complex, night and IFR. The goal is to stand out on a resume. Keep trying to build up your time and good luck.

You can search for positions here at Will fly for food. I also suggest going to www.Airlinepilotcentral.com as it provides hiring status and contact information. When you are ready give us a shout back and we can help with he resume and the interview prep.

In Topic: Help. future 135 pic or 121 sic
Posted 9 Jan 2012
Yes you stay there and log the time while you wait for a 121 to call you. There really isn't a decision to be made until the 121 call so keep going up your current ladder and try and get that 135 PIC. The more you get the quicker the 121's will come calling.

I would like to say you will but it is a tough road. It is hard to get back in after you have been out. If you are really determined to get back then keep trying. You may have to take a job that is a little below your level just to get back in the system. Once in and flying again you can then freely start interviewing elsewhere. We offer Interview prep with Mock interviews. We can help work on your interview skills and make sure you are putting your best image out there. Visit our website and feel free to contact us if we can help. WWW.AviationInterviewPrep. com

In Topic: Second Career

Never too late. If you are getting retirement benefits and can handle the bad regional pay and schedules for the start of your career then go for it. I have flown with many FO who were retired police officers or other public servants and they were having a blast. Most are captains now and looking to move on the the Majors.
