Advice Please
Posted 21 Jan 2010
I am in the military with a Warrant Officer School, followed by Initial Entry Rotary Wing school date right after in June of 2010. I currently have 100 hours with ASEL and AMEL private ratings, and am in the ATP fast track program to gain ratings to include: Instrument, Commercial, CFI, CFII, and MEI. Upon completion I will have 260 hours with all the above endorsements, as well as 150 hours multi-engine. I want to work for an airline, and am wondering if the rotary wing in the military will help me. I know it will add to my total time, adding about 185 more hours while in Ft. Rucker, however I know that I will not have enough hours in fixed wing now rotary wing to be able to land a commercial job. I am in need of advice to help me accomplish my dream of working for an airline, and searching for the best track to get there. I know this thread, question, is long, but anything that can be offered will be much appreciated. -
